Let's say you discard a ton of cards to pay Firestorm's X cost, and Rielle's ability triggers with no cards left in the library. Does the Rielle player lose to deck out *before* X damage is dealt to X targets? Why?

Does anyone have advice to NOT get spritely on this pet? I keep getting it, and want to know of there is some trick or strat to stop getting spritely over and over... Even if your advice is just "keep trying" it would help a ton bc I'm just confused and don't know how to train pets.
